Oral History Podcast

Oral History Podcast of the 40th Anniversary of the High Court Building

An oral history project was commissioned to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the opening of the building of the High Court in Canberra. It was launched by the Chief Justice on 19 May 2021. The High Court is a unique and architecturally significant building. Its design was the culmination of a national competition and its construction took place between 1976 and 1980. Its interior design, artworks and furnishings were integral to the effort to construct a building for the nation which reflected the significance of the High Court at the apex of the judicial branch of government.
